Sometimes an actor and director pairing just feels natural. It’s an easy fit for both no matter the genre of film. In their fifth outing together, director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio tackle the underbelly of the New York Financial institutions in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort the movie focuses on the spectacular rise and fall of the stockbroker and details the wild, extravagant and sometimes illegal lifestyle. Featuring Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin, Jonah Hill and Moviescrambles favourite Kyle Chandler, the film looks like a riot of colour, intense drama and over the top set pieces.
It’s a given that anything by Martin Scorsese will be interesting but the release of this film marks his return to more adult themed output after the 3D children’s film success Hugo.
The Wolf of Wall Street will get a release date of 14th November in the US and 17th January 2014 in the UK.
