Newly released is the first trailer for the biblical epic Noah. The story is a very familiar one. Possibly the best known story of the wrath of God. The original disaster movie if you will. Noah is a plain living man. He is spoken to by God who warns him of an impending storm that will wipe out the human race. He sets out to build an ark to preserve his family and all of the animal life on Earth.
Bringing this to the screen is the director Darren Aronofsky. This is a project close to his heart and he has been working on it in some form since 2007. The title role is filled by Russell Crowe looking suitably humble and yet steely at the same time. Alongside him are Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Ray Winstone as the main source of conflict (other than the water of course).
As befits the subject, Noah looks like it will be an epic spectacle. The film will be released on 28th March 2014.
