Warner Brothers have finally announced a full lineup of DC related movies which the company hopes to rival the Marvel cinematic universe. Some of the information had been speculated on since the second Superman film was announced but there were a few surprises as well.
Seven movies have now been announced. The previously notes Superman Vs Batman: Dawn of Justice is the first up in 2016, quickly followed by The Suicide Squad in the same year. 2017 sees the release of the first stand alone Wonder Woman film with Gal Gadot in the title role. This will be followed by Justice League Part 1 which will be directed by Zack Snyder. The following year sees the release of The Flash and Aquaman. The Flash will be played by Ezra Miller, which is a great piece of casting as the actor has been one to watch for a couple of years now.
In 2019 the much-anticipated Shazam film is scheduled for release. Dwayne Johnson has already leaked his involvement in the project. Quickly following this is Justice League Part 2. Rounding of the movies in 2020 is Cyborg and a reboot of The Green Lantern.
With so many films scheduled it is a fair assumption that there will be a number of cameo roles which will introduce some of the characters to the movie going public. The Superman film looks like a good bet to feature The Flash in some form.
