Tomorrowland is quickly turning into one of the most anticipated films of the year. For a start it has George Clooney in it. Then it is an original property that isn’t tied into an ongoing franchise unlike most of the big films in the next twelve months.The film focuses on a troubled young girl (Britt Robertson) who upon release from incarceration is given a badge that transports her to a futuristic land. There she seeks out the former inventor (Clooney) and together they embark on a quest to find out the secrets of Tomorrowland.
The film marks the return to live action directing for Brad Bird. He is best known as part of the Pixar creative team famed for producing numerous massively successful animated moves over the last two decades. Bird showed he could handle live action just as well when he directed the last Mission Impossible movie in 2011.
Tomorrowland is released on the 22nd of May.
