There is an ongoing debate regarding just how much information should be included in the promotional material for a forthcoming movie. Film makers are always looking to make the cinematic experience fresh and interesting and as such they tend to try to not give too much away. The marketing departments on the other hand are only interested in a good opening weekend and profits so they will go to any lengths in a preview. The new trailer for Terminator Genisys is a perfect case in point.
As well as giving the audience a good look at some of some of the major action set pieces, the new trailer also includes a major spoiler for the film. Where the first trailer was a little more subtle, the second one pretty much kills any of the tension stone dead. The only saving grace for the film is that audiences are not going to see it for plot development. What they are after is the shape shifting robots from the future and stuff blowing up.
