One of the films that is not getting as much attention as it possibly should is the forthcoming big screen adaptation of the hit TV The Man From U.N.C.L.E. It has been overshadowed by the some massive releases and as such the expectations for the film may be pretty low. The film makers attended the recent Comic-Con in San Diego and the highlight of the panel was the presentation of an extended five-minute trailer for the movie.
Set during the cold war hostilities of the nineteen sixties it sees CIA agent, Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) team up with a KGB agent, Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) forced to team up to thwart a nuclear threat from a mysterious criminal organisation.
Providing support to the lead actors are Alicia Vikander, Jared Harris, Elizabeth Debicki and Hugh Grant as the agent’s boss Waverly. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is in cinemas on the 14th of August.
