Just released is the teaser trailer for the new Star Trek Tv show. The trailer gives the audience very little in the way of info but its primary function is just to get the word out there. The series, from CBS Studios, has Bryan Fuller on board as executive producer/show runner, Alex Kurtzman as executive producer and Nicholas Meyer as writer and consulting producer. In the U.S., a special premiere episode will air on the CBS Television Network and all subsequent first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access. Outside the US the series will be available on The series will also be available on television stations and platforms in other countries around the world.
CBS are taking a real gamble on this. Their distribution model means that fans have to subscribe to CBS all access in order to view the episodes as they are first aired. it will either put their service on the map or make the show become one of the biggest pirated shows in TV history. My personal opinion is that the fans are being milked for all their are worth.
The Star Trek TV series will air in 2017.
