After its Grand Jury Prize-nominated debut at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and critically acclaimed US theatrical release, Carlos López Estrada’s Blindspotting is set for a UK cinema release this October. Collin (Daveed Diggs) must make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning. He and his troublemaking childhood best friend, Miles (Rafael Casal), work as movers, and when Collin witnesses a police shooting, the two men’s friendship is tested as they grapple with identity and their changed realities in the rapidly-gentrifying neighbourhood they grew up in.
Longtime collaborators, Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal co-wrote and star in a story about friendship and the intersection of race and class set against the backdrop of Oakland. In addition to Diggs and Casal the cast features Janina Gavankar, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Ethan Embry,Tisha Campbell-Martin, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Wayne Knight. Blindspotting marks the feature debut of Carlos Lopez Estrada.
Blindspotting will be in UK cinemas from the 5th of October.
