Filmed over a three year period, the film follows Krow’s transformation from male to female, then making his male model debut on the Luis Vuitton runway. Director Gina Hole Lazarowich’s important story shares the emotions of family and friends through his journey, the film premiered on the opening night at Raindance Film Festival and is slated for release in 2019.
The documentary focuses on Kian, known as Krow, as they start transitioning to become a man. The story is shared through a series of captivating interviews with friends and family, Krow’s story is an inspiring tale about finding the courage to be your true self. The film stars Krow Kian, a now successful international Trans model who has appeared on the cover of Vogue and feature Luis Vuitton’s shows. The documentary also stars Kas Baker, Emily Seal, Ashton Sciacallo, Lisa Jacobsen and Nancy Van Neste-Baker. Krow’s TRANSformation is produced by Gina Hole Lazarowich and Executive Producer husband Tony Lazarowich.
Producer and first-time filmmaker, Gina Hole Lazarowich has worked in the entertainment industry since her teenage years. In 2004, Gina created Western Canada’s very first professional artist, photo and film agency. Most recently, Gina added Film Producer to her credits and the title of Executive Producer following the success of her first short film Tom and Grant, directed by and starring Tom Cavanagh, star of the hit CW series The Flash.
Krow’s TRANSformation premiered on the 18th of September as part of the Raindance Film Festival.
