It’s not often that Ben Stiller steps behind the camera to take on the job of Director. To date his track record has been impressive with features such as The Cable Guy, Zoolander and Tropic Thunder to his name. This year marks his return to overseer duties with his remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye classic The secret life of Walter Mitty.
Stiller also stars as the main character who spends his time daydreaming only to be forced into a real life adventure in the search for a missing photograph negative. The film also features Kristen Wiig, Sean Penn and Shirley MacLaine in what looks like a pretty interesting bittersweet comedy. Initial buzz is very positive and lets face it Ben Stiller could do with a critical success after the panning that he had to endure (unjustly in my opinion) for the comedy The Watch.
