In a reversal that is unprecedented a Hollywood film has been re-made by a Japanese film Studio. Several famous Japanese films including Seven Samurai and The Hidden Fortress have been either remade or heavily influenced English language titles. The film bucking the trend is Yurusarezaru Mono which is a re-imagining of the 1992 Clint Eastwood movie Unforgiven.
The film has the same basic characters and plot but features some rather stunning and rather beautiful vistas. Ken Watanabe, best known for Inception and Batman Begins stars as a lone samurai who is coaxed back into a violent life to exact revenge on bad, bad man.
The film has gained a limited release in UK cinemas and will be made available on Blu Ray and DVD very soon.
