Being John Malkovich meets Godzilla, Colossal

Colossal is an upcoming film from Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo. It involves Hathaway as Gloria, an everyday woman that decides to move back to her hometown after losing her job and fiancé. Before you decide this film isn’t for you, I urge you to read on then make your mind up.

While Gloria sits and reflects on her sad life, a giant kaiju attacks Tokyo, laying waste to everything in its path. For reason unknown, Gloria finds herself psychically linked to the giant creature and sets off in search for answers.

Do we have your attention now? Colossal has been described as Being John Malkovich meets Godzilla. If that doesn’t raise an eyebrow of interest then I’d check for a pulse.

“Colossal is my most ambitious script so far,” Vigalondo said. “And probably also the most personal one. Having Anne and this terrific team around goes beyond my craziest expectations,”
