The Martian - Second Trailer

The second trailer for the forthcoming Matt Damon film, The Martian, has just been released. Astronaut Mark Watney is alone. His crew has left him behind on Mars after he was lost in a storm and presumed dead. He only has fifty days work of food and must find a way to survive until a rescue mission can be launched. It may be four years until be can be saved, if at all.

The trailer looks superb and really highlights the story without giving too much away. The film is directed by Ridley Scott with a screenplay from long time Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams collaborator Drew Goddard. The supporting cast is an embarrassment of riches with Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sean Bean, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara and Kristen Wiig.

The Martian will be release on the 30th of September.
