I’m not a big DC Comics guy, however, I’ve read my fair share of comics in my time and I do like a comic-movie-hybrid. The likes of gritty Judge Dredd (the recent one, not the Stallone one – dear God), the scene-for-scene epic Watchmen and the light-hearted Marvel franchise that has too many iterations to remember them individually.
Finally being able to sit down for long enough to watch Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice last year, I was entering what was only my second viewing of a film based on the DC side of things. I can’t say I was enamoured by that experience and I was ever hopeful that Suicide Squad would deliver the goods and have me back onside…
